Here you can find all the information you need to get started playing in Betfair's Download Casino. If you have not already downloaded our casino software we recommend that you visit the download section to get started. If you are new to Betfair Casino we recommend that you read our Getting Started section for a step to step guide on how to become a Betfair customer and start playing our casino games.
Once you have installed the Betfair Download Casino client you can launch it directly from you desktop by double clicking the Betfair Casino icon. You can also find a shortcut to the Betfair Casino in the Program menu. Just click the windows Start button and locate Betfair Casino in the list of installed programs.
When starting the Betfair Download Casino client you are first taken to the game mode selection screen. You are asked to select either "Play for Real Money" mode or the "Play for Fun" option. Fun mode allows you to play offline with virtual money, please see "Fun Mode Login" below for more information.
To place real money wagers and play for real money winnings you need to select "Play for Real Money" mode. Clicking on "Playing for Real Money" will take you straight to the login screen. You have to be a Betfair customer to login. If you are not yet a Betfair customer please click "Open Account" on the right hand side to sign up. If you need more information on how to sign up with Betfair and fund your account please visit the Getting Started section.
When logging in to the "Play for Real Money" mode, you will be prompted to fill in your Betfair username, password and nickname (optional). The nickname is used to identify you at multiplayer tables for this casino session.
If you are already a Betfair customer but cannot remember your password you can click on the "Forgot password" link to open our password retrieval service.
If you are logging in to play in Fun Mode you are not required to log in with username and password. However you are required to verify that you are above 18 years old. Betfair's Casino products should not be accessed by anyone under the legal age of 18 and Betfair takes active measures to prevent this.
Please read more about underage access prevention in the Casino Player Protection section. If you have not logged in to the casino client with a valid Betfair username and password you must complete the age verification form before you can play for fun. Once you have entered e-mail address, birthday and confirmed your details you will be given access to play for fun in the Betfair Casino.
Please note that you will only be asked to complete this form once. Customers who already verified their age by logging in to the client with a valid username and password will not be asked to complete the form.
When playing in Fun mode the Casino Client is not connecting to the Internet and therefore the chat, multiplayer, and private group options are not available. You will receive a message stating that the feature is only available in online mode if you try to access these games and features. Games with a progressive jackpot cannot be played in Fun mode as jackpot games also require an internet connection to the game servers and real money funds to play.
Once you have logged in (Real Money mode) or submitted you age verification (playing for Fun) you are taken to our Download Casino Lobby. Our lobby displays an easy to use game menu from where you can launch all our exciting casino games and a carousel filled with promotions, information and hot offers. In the lobby you also find direct access buttons for our cashier, for the casino help section and for the client option menu.
The game menu contains all our casino games ordered into categories. Hover the mouse cursor over the category to expand the menu section and locate the game you want to play. Click on the name of the game in the menu to launch it.
Your Current Balance is displayed above the Cashier Button. Please notice that if you are logged in you will see the Download Casino account balance here. You can transfer funds from your Betfair Main wallet to the Download Casino account in the cashier. Click on the Cashier button to enter the Download Casino Cashier. Here you can deposit or withdraw money, see the transaction history and your game history. Help links are available on all pages if you need more information.
The Options button opens a window where you can adjust volume, speed, sound, and screen size and other settings which allow you to customize your casino experience.
The exit button closes your Download Casino session. Important! If you leave money in your Download Casino account you are not able to use these funds on Betfair.com website or to withdraw them from the Betfair.com website. You must first transfer your funds from the Download Casino account back to your Betfair Main wallet. This can only be done in the download client, in the cashier. If you have any questions about fund transfer or experience any problems with transfers our customer support team are available to assist you.
The Help button in the lobby opens the Casino help menu where you can find more information about how to use all the Download Casino client features.
You can customize your game environment by adjusting:
Speed
Drag the slider to the right or left to increase or decrease the speed of the multimedia animations used during the games.
Enable full screen mode
Select to display your game over the entire screen.
Use large cards in card games
Select this option to see bigger cards in some of the table card games.
Play close-up slot machines
Select to see a close-up view when playing the classic slot machines.
Fast play (play without animation)
Select to remove all animations in the games. This will speed up the action, but the game will be more difficult to follow. We recommend that only experienced casino players use this setting.
Disable warning messages
Select to remove warning messages in the client. If you are experiencing with the client problems we do suggest that you enable warning messages before contacting customer support as they will ask for error message details.
Hide double up window in video pokers
For our video poker machines we offer a double up feature for all winnings. Select this option if you do not wish to see the double up dialogue.
Open games in separate windows
Select to open games in new windows. Each game will open in a new window and you can have several games open at the same time. If this option is not selected all the games will open in the lobby window and only one game can be open at the time.
Sound volume
Drag the slider to the right or the left to lower or raise the volume.
Sound, Music and Dealer Voices
Select to play with real game sounds, to enjoy background music and to hear the dealer speaking at the tables.
The Betfair Download Casino client is checking for new available version when it is launched with an internet connection. If a new version is available the Casino client will automatically update and all new features, games and other improvements will become available when the client starts!
If you are experiencing problem with the casino client our customer support team might recommend that you uninstall and re-install the software. We recommend that you uninstall the client as you uninstall any Windows application. Go to the control panel, click Add or Remove Programs and locate Betfair Casino. Click Change/Remove and start the uninstaller. This will remove the Casino application from your computer and delete all customer data.
