This is a usual game of Baccarat with an added chance to win a progressive jackpot. Betfair Casino offers six deck Baccarat. If you are not familiar with the game then please proceed straight to the Progressive Baccarat Rules. Return to this page when you are familiar with the rules.
To play the game:
Click on the chip of your chosen value to select it. Then move your mouse cursor to the centre of the screen where you may click on any of the three areas on the table (player, banker or tie) and place your bet there.
If you want to place a side bet for the progressive jackpot then all you have to do is click on the slot between the player and banker line.
Every time you click on the area adds one chip to the bet. If you wish to increase the bet by a different amount then please click on the chip of your chosen value. To remove a chip with use the right click on your mouse in that area. You can place more than one chip into several areas at the same time.
Click the Deal button.
The cards will now be dealt and you will see the result of the game. To play another game then please click on New Game. Place your bets again as described above and click Deal. To place exactly the same bet then click on Rebet.
You'll see at the top of the screen the progressive jackpot ticker. This will keep you up to speed on the jackpot amount that you can win on your current side bet. If you decided not to play for the maximum side bet you get part of the jackpot fund (the proportion of your side bet to the maximum side bet).
Below the ticker you will see the jackpot paytable button - click on it to open the paytable, click again to close it. Each listed combination shows the potential payout, which is multiplied by your progressive bet to determine the amount that you can win. The top combination wins the amount shown on the ticker.
Jackpot
One of the possible wins in this game is the big one - the progressive Jackpot. A small percentage of each bet made by every single person playing this game in each of the Betfair Casinos, is added to a common pot. When a player gets the right result, he or she wins the entire Jackpot (in some games you can also win part of it).
When a Jackpot has been won, a new pot is started, with the house contributing a base amount of money to get the pot started. This ensures that even if you get a Jackpot result in a game right after someone else has won it all that you'll still get a large win.

If you get disconnected in the middle of a game round, the value of the jackpot in your game will remain unchanged.. The state of the game up to the point where you lost connection is remembered by the casino; you can finish the game with the same odds and without placing a new bet when you next log in.

Close/Lobby
Clicking this button will return to the Betfair Casino Lobby and close your current gaming window. If you have Multiwindow support setup and enabled (this is where games are opened in new windows), the button will say Close. If Multiwindow support is not setup or disabled (your games are opened in the same window as the Lobby), then the button will say Lobby. You can easily enable or disable this feature in the options menu discussed in the previous paragraph.

Note on large wins: If you are lucky (or skillful) enough to win more than £10,000 then this will need to be varified by a live operator as the Betfair Casino regards this as a high win.
Note on malfunctions: A malfunction voids all pays and plays.
Note on disconnections: If your internet connection fails on you and you are disconnected from the Internet in the middle of a game while playing for Real Money then don't panic. Just re-establish your Internet connection and log back into the Betfair Casino lobby. Then click History and you'll see the result of your previous round and if you've won then your winning will be added to your account.
